Renee P. Murphy

Renee Murphy is an environmental scientist and Director of Sales for Intrinsyx Environmental. Renee has a master's in plant science/agriculture from Cal Poly Pomona and a bachelor's in business from the University of Southern California. Renee incorporates her native plant knowledge and agronomic background to develop nature-based sustainable solutions for contamination and drought-impacted sites using endophyte-assisted phytotechnology.

Renee has served as a project manager on sites with ecological restoration and assisted in key installations of groundwater, soil, and phytoremediation methods that have been regulator-approved and allowed for the shut-off of mechanical systems.

As an educator about the advances in phytoremediation, Renee has presented to NASA Ames Green Team, Sustainable Silicon Valley, Alaska Forum for the Environment, National Brownfields Training Conference, and the Innovation and Sustainability in Remediation in Madrid, Spain. In 2022, Renee was a keynote speaker at NICOLA Resiliency, Nature & Climate Solutions in South Africa. Renee has also delivered two international TEDx talks, sharing her expertise on the synergistic power of plants and microbes to restore polluted environments.

Renee serves her community through outreach programs as an instructor for the California Native Plant Society and Western Nevada College.
